Hemenover Construction was founded by George A. Hemenover in 1936. He and his wife Eleanor flourished through the post war economy. Hemenover Construction made a name for themselves in the Kankakee and Iroquois County area by building quality homes and remodeling projects with the utmost integrity and delivering on customer needs. Their son Don Hemenover grew up working in the business and came to be owner in the 1975 after finishing his engineering degree. He has continued the long-standing building mantra "building quality with integrity" for the past 40 years. Most recently the third-generation, Matthew Hemenover, has entered into the family business. After working for one of the nation's largest home builder he brings nine years of management experience to Hemenover Construction.
