Sherman Lumber, Inc. is a family-owned and operated business that has undergone quite an evolution since owners Andrew and Teresa Kelling started Kelling Construction back in 1976. The company specialized in post-frame or "pole" buildings. Each of the Kelling sons, Edward, Steven, and Michael have worked for the business since their high school years. In 1993, the Kelling family started Sherman Lumber Co., which handled post-frame construction materials, and also framing material for houses. In 1996, the two companies were incorporated, Kelling Construction and Sherman Lumber into one company, Sherman Lumber Inc. The name Sherman comes from the maiden name of Teresa.
