Our company was Started by Mr. Paul DiFrancesco AKA: DiFran The Door Man . Back then Lorain was thriving with industry and blue collar work. His philosophy was simply to give people the best. Today things are much different in 2018. I have owned the company going on 3 years now. Mr. DiFrancesco passed away shortly after I bought the company. He said I had a lot of work ahead of me as times had changed so drastically and he had let things go for so long due to his bad health. I was ready for the challenge. My Name is Mitch Witherell I have been doing doors professionally since 2001. I had my own company in Cleveland but did more of the larger commercial and some residential work in there. I brought all that here to Lorain along with my time as both a EMS and Part time Law enforcement officer. I worked in these carriers part time on and off for about 20 years. I so enjoyed my time serving the citizens. I had the greatest help learning this carrier from my two best friends.

Action Door "offiically" began in 1968, but really started before then. Our founder, Tony Lorello, began servicing clients he acquired in a different line of work. They needed a quality person to fix their doors, so he obliged. Before long, he had more work than he could handle himself. His customers trusted him and liked his work. He hired help and a few years later, in 1968 "incorporated", making an official start to his career. Action Door is a family business, which has grown to over 100 employees, and 5 companies. Today, Action Door handle more than just doors. Tony's family followed him in the company. His children, and now their children are beginning to work in efforts to continue what Tony started.
