My father-in-law and I originally started rehabbing old garages under the name "The Garage Doctor" in LaGrange, IL in the mid 80's. We progressed into installing garage doors, and eventually that became our main focus. Quite frankly, we learned the hard way. As he used to say, "we went to school on that one", meaning we learned a lot from our mistakes. By 1991, he retired and I started Spero Door Service, using my own name of course. Over the years I have worked with and learned from many seasoned veterans in the garage door industry, and in doing so, have become an expert in both residential and commercial overhead doors and openers. We're a family owned business, and providing great customer service is of the utmost importance.
