After recouping from an injury which ended a career in Personal Protection and having been schooled in the trades, My wife Judy and I decided to get back into an ever growing industry. My daughter experienced a problem with wall separation in her mobile home, which was held together with 1/4 inch drywall and those ugly trim slats used by most of these builders. When the work was done, she suggested I do it for a living, and so Day After Disaster was born.

Growning up in North West Louisiana. I always had a joy for working with my hands. Working on my '72 C10, to building a fence for my father when I was 15. So much so that i went to vocational school for Carpentry and Small Engine Repair. I enlisted in the USAF when I was 17, and wouldn't you know it. My first duty assignment was in Japan. During my off days, I would design and build cabinets and entertainment centers at the base wood shop. I have always loved seeing a thought manifest into something real. Fast forwarding to 2018. I decided to finally start this amazing journey of owning Gumbeaux Construction LLC. It has been a privilege to work with the clients that I have so far and can not wait to meet my future ones. Come join our family, and hope to see you soon. David
