A true visionary, James Croxton, founded Del-Ray Construction Inc. in 1995. Mr. Croxton formed Del-Ray Construction Inc. with the beliefs that every customer would receive: quality in the product and services they received, being fair in the company's pricing policy ensuring that they always received their money's worth, and believed that every customer from the smallest job to the largest should be treated the same way. Del-Ray Construction Inc. has been providing high-quality construction and remodeling services in the Northern Neck, Middle Peninsula and surrounding area since then. Mr. Croxton has since retired (although never can he stay completely away from his passion, you just may see him one of these days visiting a job site) and his youngest son Lee has since stepped into his father's shoes. It is said Lee has been born with a hammer in his hand. He has a natural talent for this line of work and has proudly taken on the tradition of Del-Ray Construction Inc.

The first one is the class of license which determines the cost of projects that may be performed and the second is the classification/specialty of license, which determines what works are permitted.
To look up if a contractor's license has an active status or check a contractor's disciplinary history, a homeowner should use License Lookup tool.
Performing construction or demolition of structure, you are required by the State of Virginia a permit to be obtained. Building permits are issued by the local departments (cities and counties) in Virginia. Homeowners should verify with permit office to see if they need a building permit or where they should file their application.
