Kawailani Catchment Maintenance
Nearly 60,000 residents in East Hawaii do not have municipal water service, but rely on rainwater catchment for drinking.
Catchment systems must be serviced as a critical utility to safeguard their sanitation and the quality of water for the health of families and the community.
We work closely with the University of Hawaii and Public Health Authorities to provided up to date and accurate information and best practices and we are especially concerned about protecting against water borne disease like rat lung worm. Our emphasis is on water treatment, system maintenance, cleaning & decontamination, and empowering residents with the knowledge & tools to monitor their own drinking water quality.
