After working several decades in the local HVAC industry, and having grown dissatisfied with his [former] boss's lack of interest in quality and accurate work, Ken Dean established Dean Heating and Cooling. By 2011, it had truly grown to a family business: Ken, his wife Karen, son Jared, and Jared's wife Marjorita. The Deans, along with the team of installers, are very pleased with how the company has grown over the years and plan to be around many more. Dean Heating and Cooling was started to provide expert, reliable service and installation of heating and cooling equipment. Too often, companies pressure their workers to finish a job quickly so they can move on to the next job. Our goal is to ensure our customers' systems not only run, but run safely and efficiently, so that they benefit from the efficiency their equipment promises.
David White began repairing appliances with Westinghouse and shortly began his own company servicing both appliances and air conditioners. Realizing that there weren't many furnace repair and replacement companies in southern Ohio at the time, he began specializing in heating and cooling and eventually stopped servicing kitchen appliances altogether. He, along with his two daughters, still runs David White Services. Originally the family focused on Athens, Ohio but then opened branches in Lancaster, Ohio and Gallipolis. They also sell furnaces, stoves, and generators and partner with strong companies like Lennox, Jotul, and GE Briggs and Stratton.
Mountaineer Mechanical was started in 2002 in Little Hocking, Ohio. It grew from a small family owned business with only a few employees to 12 employees in 2008. An added location in Parkersburg, West Virginia was started in 2015 with 30 employees servicing a bigger area and specializing in Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and commercial restaurant equipment.
In 1989, Stirling Technology developed the patented rotary core heat exchanger based on work with Stirling engine technology invented in 1816. Our goal was to develop a whole-house ventilation system that requires little energy to operate to that homes could be built airtight and significantly more energy efficient. UltimateAir® is the exclusive manufacturer for this patented technology.
