I started working in the heating and air conditioning business in April of 1999. The company I worked for was very focused on quality work. We had a reputation of quality work and because of this, people where willing to pay a little bit more. We took our time installing a new system right. Even if it sometimes ment not making much of a profit.
That was the case until a big corporation bought the company and decided to squeeze the life out of it. That was when I left and decided to go on my own. I got my license, started my business and figured out that I was right. People still want quality work at a reasonable price.
Many times I have gone to a home and heard this from the home owner
" They didn't come to see if they could fix it. They came to sell me something I didn't want at a ridiculous price!" Bottom line is: "Quality at a reasonable price" still exists.
