Universal was created by two mechanical engineers and a marketing expert to fill a void in the heating and air conditioning industry, namely real customer service. People had been accustomed to being treated as just a number and not a valued customer. We wanted to change that and make everyone feel like part of our family. Unlike many of the larger companies who would tell their customers to contact a call center and then have to wait for days or sometimes even weeks for service, Universal would be there the same day. This was and still is a family owned and operated business with over 80 years of total service and installation experience.
