In 1947, after completing his service in the U.S. Navy, 26 year old Nick Edrington Jr. was looking for a trade. Being an enterprising young man, Nick began Nick's Refrigeration Service Inc. by following the local ice salesman and selling customers a brand new innovation: refrigerators. Mr. Nick later went on to sell General Electric window air conditioning units and central air conditioners as they were introduced onto the market. Today, Nick's Refrigeration is a thriving second generation business, run by two of Mr. Nick's children, Nicky Edrington III and Phyllis Bruce. They are joined by the upcoming third generation to work in the business. Nicky's son, Nick IV returned from the Marines after serving two tours of duty in Iraq, gearing up to take the reigns. Both Nick IV and his wife Mary work at Nick's Refrigeration, continuing on the tradition of being a family owned and operated business.
