Larry Rumer became interested in the heating and air conditioning industry when he was a young man. In 1964, he enrolled in an adult vocational program in Jackson, Ohio. After completing his education, he worked for Wheeling Heating and Hitt Heating. In 1975, he decided to strike out on their own. Working out of his home on Clark Road in St. Clairsville, he soon outgrew that location. He purchased land nearby and built a commercial building with an office, sheet metal shop, garage, and storage. In 1987, a Barnesville office was opened at 110 East Main Street, managed by son-in-law Sid Loudin, thus the current name Rumer-Loudin, Inc. In 1998, Larry sold the Barnesville branch to Sid, and then the St. Clairsville office in 2006. Larry stayed on part-time until 2008 when he fully retired. In December of 2012, the Barnesville operations moved to 823 East Main Street. St. Clairsville remains open at its current location of 67679 Clark Road.
Grogg's Heating and Air Conditioning was founded by Leon B. Grogg. He spent many years serving the people of the Parkersburg area. The company began as a part‐time venture but quickly became a full‐time business. He loved his business and he loved serving his customers. He took great pride in the fact that he honored his customers. Therefore, we have many loyal customers who have been treated with great respect throughout the years. That is still our number one goal. Without you, we would not be in business. Leon's daughter and her husband, Carma and Tim Hanlon, who purchased the company in 1996, are no strangers to the business. Carma grew up in the heating and air conditioning business working closely with her father for numerous years. Leon also had the opportunity to train Tim in all aspects of the business. They continue to build upon Leon's legacy by simply doing their best to take care of their customers. In July, 2004, Grogg's Heating & Air Conditioning became Grogg's H
