Carpet has been a part of my life as long as I remember. When I was in kindergarten, I got Kawasaki Sydrome, associated with carpet cleaning, and it almost killed me. In 4th grade, I was entertained watching the installation of new carpet in my home by our family friend Keith, who would later teach me the trade. Soon after graduating high school, Keith invited me to help on a large commercial carpet installation in the suburbs of Chicago. It was hard work, but I appreciated the opportunity and the enjoyed witnessing the transformation of the building we were working in. I continued to work with Keith throughout college, perfecting my skills, while working on custom homes, car dealers, hotels, airports, apartments, gyms, and offices. During the summers, I would save small remnants of carpet and in the fall, when school started back up, I would sell and install them in student dorm rooms. After college, I moved to Arizona and began working for the largest retail flooring company i
