In 1967, Paul W. Davis founded the company in Jacksonville, Florida based on two simple objectives. The first, is to sells $1000 of insurance restoration services each week and to gross $350 from those sales in order to provide an adequate living for his family. The second was to use his knowledge of unit pricing and insurance restoration estimating from five years with Golden Crown Builders, Inc. to sell jobs at a very fair price. From this Paul developed the definition of a fair price that still applies today: "the lowest equitable price which will provide quality workmanship to property owner, and low cost to insurer." From these two points the entire Paul Davis Restoration operating plan has evolved for over 40 years. Paul also built the business on the principles of honesty and integrity as well as the old Rotary motto: "He profits most who serves the best."
