HTX Mold Consulting started after the Hurricanes in 2004. We found a need for consumers to know what problems their homes and health may have after receiving flood water and moisture in their homes or place of business.
This business was started in 2017 when two families united together. On one side you had someone who had already had expert experience in the cleaning service industry and on the other was someone with over 24 years of servicing customers and expanding customer satisfaction, united we have brought together the best of both worlds to not only provide a professional service, but one that makes sure of complete customer satisfaction.
We've been drying out homes and businesses, testing for mold, and doing mold remediation since 2009. We are a women owned family business, so we take the safety of families and homes very seriously. We have gone through all of the major floods including Allison and Harvey, as well as the major freezes including Winter Storm Uri in 2021. On a day to day basis, we are dealing with mold problems caused by unknown water damage and high humidity. We've pretty much seen it all and have the experience to know what to look for and where to look for it.
Our business started because the owners found that our competitors weren't doing it the right way every time. They moved technicians from job to job and failed many times on customer needs.
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) issues licenses for water well drilling, electrical, air conditioning and refrigeration, and mold removal, but not plumbing services. Contractors must also register with the local permitting department.
