The business started in 1957 when B L Ginn(father) and Sam Ginn (son) started hooking up gas lines in vanceburg ky. While there people asked them to fix plumbing issues they had. Later Sam went on to start S L Ginn and Sons plumbing. All of Sam’s son grew up working in the business but went of to other things except for Keith Ginn who now operates the business Keith also operates under the name Ginn Plumbing. All of Sam’s sons have now returned to the plumbing industry and some of Sam’s grandchildren are working in the plumbing industry.
West Virginia does not require a homeowner to be a licensed contractor if they are doing work on their home. The homeowner must state this prior to commencing any work when applying for a building permit. If the homeowner does not do all the work himself, he must hire a contractor who is licensed by the State of West Virginia.
For more information or to check if a contractor has a valid state license, contact with the WV Division of Labor at (304) 558-7890 or visit Contractor Search page
