Mike Dutra is the founder and started out building houses and developments. He soon realized the sub industry that was evolving with underground pipes. Pipes were getting older and neglected. Soon all the pipes that were installed in the 30s and 40 will need to be replaced. Mike started Mike Dutra Excavating in 1975 and soon hired his wife in 1983 to be his secretary. He has two sons that are presently working in the business. Both went to college and decided to join the family business. Now the sons have reinvented the business with innovative ways and technologies and have started the new generation of Dutra Sewer And Water.
My name is Tim and I’ve been doing plumbing and construction for about 5 years. I am the owner of a home repair and maintenance company. We work with several restaurants, a fitness center, a chain of hotels, and many non-commercial clients. Good feedback and customer satisfaction are our core values.
We are a family business founded, owned, and operated in Pearl River, NY; and, have been serving the Hudson Valley & Northern New Jersey since 1958. Our commitment to a passion for excellence, integrity, and performance remains strong as ever. In the past 63 years, we've trained many high quality people, and made safety & quality more than a slogan. We can accommodate all of your plumbing, heating & air conditioning/HVAC needs. No matter the size, complexity, or location of your project, we can provide you with quality service and the reliability that you deserve.
New Jersey state laws require any contractors or subcontractors who sell or make home improvements to be registered with compliance to "Contractors' Registration Act".
However, construction permits are issued, as before, by the municipalities in which contractors are working.
A Contractor must be sure to use a written contract if a project costs more than $500.
Any person who makes improvement project of a home he(she) or his(her) family member owns is not required to registered as contractor.
Before hiring a contractor, make sure that they have a valid license and that their skills are appropriate for the job you are planning.
