My wife and I started this business after we had our child in June of 2011. We wanted to make a better future for him, and I have always had an entrepreneurial streak, and my wife is exceptionally well-organized, so we went ahead with it after securing some larger jobs with local contractors. The name, "Whitelaw," comes from my great grandfather 7 generations ago, who was named Whitelaw. He was captured by the British in Scotland, brought overseas, and forced to fight against the United States in the War of 1812. After the British lost, he became an American citizen and discontinued the "law" portion of his name. I reclaimed it as a symbolic gesture of a lost time, when business dealings were sealed on the basis of a handshake and a reputation. That's what I would like this business to represent, as well as our focus on trust and integrity. Our sole mission is to provide a long-lasting, strong installation that will serve you for as many years as you require.
