In 1976, Andrew and Eleanor Heggemann opened a union plumbing business known as Heggemann Plumbing Company. They ran the business from their home in Warrenton. They offered quality plumbing work in Warren, Lincoln, and St. Charles County. When Andrew and Eleanor opened their business, they had the help of their three sons and two daughters in the shop, office, and sometimes on the job sites. While Andrew and two journeymen plumbers worked in the field, Eleanor worked in the office. Their son Paul joined the company full time as an apprentice plumber in 1981. In 1983 their son Ron started as a plumber's laborer. Paul became a journeymen plumber in 1985 and Ron in 1993. Their daughter Linda began working in the office in 1987. With the help of family and other plumbers, Andrew was able to expand and begin doing commercial plumbing. In 1995, Eleanor retired and Linda worked full time in the office.
Missouri does not issue a statewide electrical, plumbing, handyman and general contractor license and delegates licensing and permitting process to the local permitting authority of the city the contractor works in. So a contractor you consider to hire must be in compliance with any local jurisdiction regulations.
