The Ayer brothers' roofing experience began by working for large commercial roofing contractors in the early 1980's. Contracts for roofs for Pease Air Force Base, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, and Naval Base, Newport, required thousands of square yards of tar and gravel roofing.
Our company was founded in Essex, Mass. in 1986. Ayer Brothers was one of the first contractors to install EPDM rubber roofs on municipal buildings and on residences with flat or low-sloped roofs. In Ipswich, we have performed EPDM and slate roof work on the Police and Fire Departments' Stations, Public Library, sewer, and water buildings. We are also proud of our work on Malden Hospital and many Pingree School buildings. In recent years, Ayer Brothers Roofing has added historical preservation work in such Boston neighborhoods as Beacon Hill.
Since our founding, our company has installed or maintained over 3,000 roofs. We are dedicated to performing quality work for our customers.
