In the early 1980s, Gary Bendixen founded two businesses Air Heating and Refrigeration and Master Sweep Chimney Sweep. His three sons began working as his apprentices at about age twelve in the nineties. As 14 and 16 year old lanky youths, they were greeted by gawking customers as they stood at their front door with brushes in hand. They often heard, "How old are you?" Over time they became noted as trustworthy and cherished sweeps among the same customers who had come to appreciate their Dad's services.
Upon his son's marriage in July 2010, and in recognition of 20 years of service, Gary entrusted Jeriah with the chimney business. Thus, with his new wife Aurora Bendixen they began our married life as the proud heirs of Master Sweep Chimney Service, LLC. They continue to keep the business family owned and operated today.
