In 2008 I had a house fire that was a total loss. I rebuilt my home but when it came to building my deck, I knew I wanted something unique & different from the norm since I previously had cedar & composite decks. I decided to leave my deck unfinished because I knew I didn't want a standard deck design. After two years had passed, I realized the upscale alternative decking material I was searching for did not exist & knew I had to create it myself. There were three conditions the decking material had to meet: First, it had to be the same thickness as wood or composite decking, so it could be used in conjunction for edging or borders. With it being the same thickness, this would also allow for a quick & easy process to upgrade or replace your deck. Secondly, this product needed to be engineered to support more than 1000 lbs. per tile. The last condition, was that this new decking idea needed to be light enough to install over standard wood joists, so that expensive framing was not needed
