Becoming proficient as a master bricklayer and obtaining the skills for a number of other trades led John to follow in his grandfather's and father's footsteps to start his own construction company. The John M. Ciardi Company was founded in 1986 and focused widely on residential construction. Throughout the years, the company has expanded into commercial and industrial work. In 2010, the John M. Ciardi Company shortened its name to become simply Ciardi Co.
