I started my business after my sister hired a home inspector. I found everything that he did. Then I took classes and got certified with American Home Inspectors Training Institute. Thorough Home Inspection LLC was then licensed and certified in Virginia and West Virginia. Every home inspection is important to us. With over 20 years in the construction trades and in inspections, I assure you that I will put all my effort in doing a thorough home inspection. Continuing education helps to keep up and expand my knowledge. The point of the home inspection is to not only show you what is wrong with a house but what is working as intended. Problems can be fixed if you know about them. Potential problems can be planned for. Your home inspection should inform you about these. If you are buying a house, you want to know that the home you're wanting is safe and sound. Costly and unwelcome surprises can be avoided or planned for. I look forward to being of service to you.
West Virginia does not require a homeowner to be a licensed contractor if they are doing work on their home. The homeowner must state this prior to commencing any work when applying for a building permit. If the homeowner does not do all the work himself, he must hire a contractor who is licensed by the State of West Virginia.
For more information or to check if a contractor has a valid state license, contact with the WV Division of Labor at (304) 558-7890 or visit Contractor Search page
