Licensed and insured HIC. BBB accredited in 2017. With 8+ years of prior experience in Windows, doors and glass alone, I don't think there's any window that's not repairable. Even though to this day I learn something new every so often. I was a window technician and over the years of servicing windows all over the city and the outer boroughs I have gained enough expertise on tweaking the window if that's all that's really needed. Let's face it, times have always been tough and it's always good to be able to save a little. That's what motivates me as a person and a professional, knowing that I was able to leave the customers happy with quality workmanship at a very reasonable price.
When Ken and Diane Bower started Bower & Co. back in 1973, they decided to be a different kind of siding and roofing contractor, committed to using the best products, installing them with expertise, and backing up work with a commitment to service and professionalism. This philosophy has served the company well. Today, Bower & Co.'s ability to handle everyday residential and commercial projects, as well as more difficult roofing jobs like those found on historic homes and Churches, has built us a reputation as one of Northern New Jersey's premiere roofing firms. We are a Certified and Preferred Contractor with various manufacturers, meaning manufacturers recognize our company's expertise and recommends us for the installation of their products and enables us to offer 10 and 15 year workmanship warranties on shingle roof installations.
New Jersey state laws require any contractors or subcontractors who sell or make home improvements to be registered with compliance to "Contractors' Registration Act".
However, construction permits are issued, as before, by the municipalities in which contractors are working.
A Contractor must be sure to use a written contract if a project costs more than $500.
Any person who makes improvement project of a home he(she) or his(her) family member owns is not required to registered as contractor.
Before hiring a contractor, make sure that they have a valid license and that their skills are appropriate for the job you are planning.
