Ray's Roofing Supply, a division of G.W. Murphy Inc., was established in 1977 and for the last 30 years has supplied many wholesalers, distributors and large and small contractors with discount products. At the age of 26, Gary Murphy Sr. decided to open his own business. Gary's dream was to start a discount building supply store that focused on roofing materials & retail hardware. Well, he accomplished that goal & the business is still thriving today and has grown to include other locations: Rays Roofing supply in Hammond, Indiana founded in 1977. Our Portage Branch was added in 1981, and our Chicago Branch was added in 2001.
