Design 5
Back in 1990, 5 co-workers at a local window covering fabrication company set out on their own to establish Design 5. The store was initially located on Waialae Avenue in Kaimuki, however, outgrew that location and moved up the street to the Jade Building on 9th Avenue. Twelve years later, Design 5 moved into its new showroom/warehouse building on the mauka side of South Beretania Street between the cross streets of Isenberg and McCully. Over the years, the Company has evolved into a family owned and operated business, with 6 members/member relations of the Miyashiro family on staff and 2 installer employees. Design 5 has truly come a long way and we are fortunate to have so many loyal customers that have remembered us over the years. Without them, there would be no success story to speak of.
