Accent Curbz is a family business. You might be intrigued to know Jeff is a chef educated at the Culinary Institute of America. Maybe you would wonder what being a chef has to do with concrete hardscapes and edging. It's all in the proportions, proper mixing methods, creative flair, and an eye for the details. Jeff has been able use his experience to teach our crew how to get the Accent Curbz mixture just right for strength and beauty. Our research and development is led by Jeff's dad, Mike, a civil engineer and concrete specialist. The office is managed by Jeff's mom, JoAnn, who has a banking and property management background. Inge, Jeff's wife, who has worked side by side with Jeff in business since 1997, handles the marketing and human resources.
Local Family owned and operated business. We are licensed and insured and accredited with the better business bureau. We got started in October of 2018. I wanted to venture out and start my own business after a job fell through and didn't work out for me. So I called one of my good friends Dad looking for ideas and asked if he had any positions available. He asks "you got a truck and trailer right? " I said, "well yeah". So he says start a hauling business. I put an ad on craigslist, and a week later I started getting phone calls. Just thought it was funny that a month before this phone call I hauled a bunch of construction debris to the dump and found a dollar bill on the ground as soon as I got out of my truck. I told my boss at the time about it and told him that it was a sign that I was going to make money at the dump. Never thought I would start a junk removal company but it all just fell into place.
Missouri does not issue a statewide electrical, plumbing, handyman and general contractor license and delegates licensing and permitting process to the local permitting authority of the city the contractor works in. So a contractor you consider to hire must be in compliance with any local jurisdiction regulations.
