To say established in 2020 is funny. I have been in the forests cutting trees and working with wood for over 40 years. This business is new because I just returned to the state of Jefferson to be close to my family.

My name is Randy Phelps and I started the business on a shoestring budget out of necessity as many of us in the Redding area well know, making a living here isn't so easy. I decided in 1990 that I had to make my first hydro seeder as good, new ones were $20k! After a decent first year, I decided to build a bigger one that I mounted on a freightliner truck, which is still used primarily on large erosion control projects. After several years of strong growth, then began the Great Recession. Things definitely slowed down at that point, but to add insult to injury, along came the drought! I thought I could sit by and let other forces dictate our future or make a change. I decided in 2011, which I was betting the country had to be at the bottom of the recession, that it was a good time to build a Landscape Bark Blower. Well, 3 years later it became the only one north of Sacramento. Its now 2017 and we're starting our 20th year as a licensed, bonded, insured and LOCAL landscape contractor.
