Please see our websiWhen we started this business in 1995, we thought we were going to be just another tree removal service. Soon thereafter, we decided that we would approach this business with a philosophy different from our competitors. We believe the prevalent mentality of "Whack'em and Stack'em" in our industry was, and always will be wrong. It is detrimental to both property values and the health of the community's environment. We view trees as a natural asset with an aesthetic value that can't be measured by just dollars and cents. With every job we complete, our goal is to promote responsible stewardship of the "Urban Forest". We offer educated and experienced consultation with honest answers to important questions. If we don't have the answers to your questions, we will put you in contact with someone who does.
Modern Tree & Landscape was born out of a love for trees. Keeping up to date on the most modern information and techniques keeps us a notch above our competitors. Our true passion shows from the moment you call us till the job is completed.
Our company was started in 1983 by Richard Martin. After completing his college training Edward Martin joined his father in 1986 bringing horticultural degree to the company. Edward Martin became one of the first certified arborist In Michigan MI-0051 , the 51st ISA Certified In Michigan and in the top 100 in the country at certification time. Our company grew at a tremendous pace through the 90's due to great service and unsurpassed knowledge of tree care. Richard Martin passed in 1999. Edward Martin moved forward to keep the company moving . Our weathering the recession 2007-2008 said that our deep client base of satisfied people believed in our service. I believe that my experience, dedication to safety training and always available customer service makes our company one of the best in the business. Edward A Martin
