The founder/president of Majestic Tree Care started in the industry with Davey Tree where he excelled in the company moving up quickly. Layne Reeves became a certified Arborist two years after starting in the industry, after that he traveled from California to Colorado and north to Montana to Washington as an advance Arborist trainer for Davey tree. He found a place he loved (Boise), decided to settle roots, and build a quality business that provides a broad variety of services; as a complete tree service company.
Owner Erik Burkholder has been in the arboricuture field for over 20 years. Starting at age 15, he worked along side his father William Burkholder, an ISA Certified Arborist, for their buisness Acme Tree Service in Delaware County, PA. Erik took over the buisness in 1999 and continued to provide excellent customer service to their long term clients. Erik has resided in boise for 8 years now and is the owner of A Tree Company. He has brought his professional tree service experience to the Treasure Valley and is committed to providing each customer's property with professional attention and care.
You might say trees are in our blood. You might even say we "have sawdust in our veins". Owner James Glenn's family has been working with, and demonstrating their love for trees for three generations. James had his passion for trees and treework instilled upon him by his father, Travis. His father left Daveys Tree Service in 1970 to start his own tree service, Quality Tree Care. James's earliest memories are of his father and the sound of a chainsaw. Throughout his formative years, James learned a lot about trees - from the different species, to their role in nature, to how to cut one so that it could twist and fall directly on a tin can (Thanks, Dad). After working for a large corporate firm on the East Coast, James and his family returned to Idaho in 2009. James and his wife, Kate, started their company shortly thereafter. We like to tell you to call A Cut Above Tree Service for all of your tree work because we love your trees, just like you do.
Oregon law requires all contractors and subcontractors performing work in the state of Oregon to be licensed.
Licensed contractors are bonded and insured and can be more easily held accountable in the event of a problem. Should you need information about whether your Tree Removal contractor is to be licensed, contact Consumer Help Center by 503-378-4621. The most accurate way to find a license is with the CCB (Oregon Construction Contractors Board) license number. Contractors must include this number on their advertisements, including brochures, websites, and business cards. Ask your contractor for the number and verify contractor's recent history of disciplinary actions on https://www.ccb.state.or.us/search/ yourself if necessary.
