We have been a family run business since 1964 under the names of Arbor Tree Surgery, Associated Arborists, and most recently, American Arborists. Richard Alvarez, the founder of Arbor Tree Surgery, developed the first line clearance safety program to be certified by the division of labor and industries and California OSHA. He was also the president of the Western Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture. American Arborists has inherited the same ideals in regards to safety, training and superior quality of service as employees are continually trained with the latest industry materials, e.g. ACRT and the ISA safety guide.
