Shane and Nikki's Window Experience
As new home owners in Arizona, Shane and his wife Nikki were paying electric bills in excess of $650 a month for their first couple summers in Arizona. While contemplating potential solutions for their family's budgeting challenge of staying comfortable in their home, they began to explore solutions- starting with replacing windows.
From the most expensive company in the valley, to another which promised equally if not better service and products, to a big box store, all stopping by to share their stories and their windows, Shane and Nikki were left wondering which product was right for their home, which was most efficient, and what truly were the differences in products.
The confusion in products and especially the high pressure in-home sales, which seemed to rule the industry, all lead to thoughts that there must be a more friendly, informative and better way. These are the begging steps that lead to providing the valley with a much better way.

Gusto Construction

3256 E Joseph Way, Gilbert  AZ , 85295
When Gusto Construction was started we intended to build new homes. During the market slow down, the prospects for new homes all but died in the valley. We adapted with the times and became a great remodeling company. It was a sharp learning curve seeing how homes were built in the different eras. The Phoenix area is a young town, however, seeing how homes were built in the 1920's, 30's, ect, was a bit of a shock at first. Now we have all the information needed to remodel anything built in this desert and more experience than many in two life times.

Desert King Windows

Desert King Windows was founded in Oro Valley, AZ. in 1999 by Bill & Susan Burns. Bill had originally opened his first location in Phoenix, and soon after, El Paso, TX, and Albuquerque, NM.
Shortly after opening in Phoenix, Bill met Ron Shortt, who had been his Arizona Republic/Phoenix Gazette account representative. Soon a great friendship developed and Ron left his job of 12 years to join the sales team at Desert King and soon after became Vice President of Sales. When it came time for Bill to retire , and no legacy to continue the family business, Bill sold the ARIZONA market to Ron in April 2013. Ron continues the Desert King story with his son, Jayson Shortt, Vice President and Sales Manager.
