Knebel Windows

(3.7 of 3 reviews)
700 S Capitol St, Iowa City  IA , 52240
Knebel Windows was founded in 1980, when Patrick Knebel purchased the Miller Rusco Window Company with his wife Margo. During the 1980s the company expanded to include repair service and became known for its selection of hard-to-find window parts. Over the years the company broadened its product offerings to answer emerging consumer needs such as energy conservation.

The '90s brought about several additions including entry doors and sidelights, porch enclosures, commercial storefronts, as well as advances in glass used for insulation and UV protection. Patrick and Margo's son, Dan, now owns Knebel Windows. He is involved in all aspects of day-to-day business.
Knebel Windows has evolved into the area's premiere window company offering a diverse line up of windows and doors along with a complete glass and mirror shop. Our factory-trained service team operates three installation crews with a seven-vehicle fleet.

Zen Windows Des Moines

(5 of 1 reviews)
699 Walnut St Ste 400, Des Moines  IA , 50309
Zen Windows Was originally founded in 1998 By Dan Wolt. After spending more than a decade in the window industry, Mr. Wolt found that it had become a broken model and he set out to reverse that by opening a company that would treat its clients like family.
My husband and I have over 17 years of experience in the home-improvement and customer service industries. We had been seeing the industry change as more and more homeowners have become fed up with the high-pressure, gimmicky in-home sales pitch.
When we found Zen Windows, it was a breath of fresh air! Zen Windows' values and business model aligned perfectly with how we wanted our customers' experience to be. Simple and transparent.
We have a NO MONEY DOWN policy, ensuring our customers' total happiness before any money is paid to Zen Windows. The Zen Windows model has completely done away with the in-home sales presentation. Zen customers are delighted to be able to shop online-on their time-with no high-pressure sales.
