Architectural Openings & Access has been in business for more than 15 years, operating out of our facility at 2050 Turner Ave NE in Grand Rapids. Our company's commercial division offers hollow metal frames, doors and hardware; the residential division offers window and door products. As both divisions have continued to grow, our space in the building on Turner Ave has not. To embrace this growth, and encourage future growth, a restructuring of the company was necessary. In restructuring the company, we decided that it was time to split the commercial from the residential portion of our business. In doing so, Architectural Openings & Access moved our residential operations under a new name -- the AOA Window & Door Located at 3262 Union SE
It started in 1946 when founder Paul Burkey set up his first radiator shop just next door to Reed's Opera House. In 1956, brother Floyd came aboard and there began a partnership that would last over thirty years. Burkey Glass has grown every year since 1986 and proud to be where it is by providing quality, honest service through the years.
