Desert King Windows was founded in Oro Valley, AZ. in 1999 by Bill & Susan Burns. Bill had originally opened his first location in Phoenix, and soon after, El Paso, TX, and Albuquerque, NM. Shortly after opening in Phoenix, Bill met Ron Shortt, who had been his Arizona Republic/Phoenix Gazette account representative. Soon a great friendship developed and Ron left his job of 12 years to join the sales team at Desert King and soon after became Vice President of Sales. When it came time for Bill to retire , and no legacy to continue the family business, Bill sold the ARIZONA market to Ron in April 2013. Ron continues the Desert King story with his son, Jayson Shortt, Vice President and Sales Manager.
