Mastertech North Jersey is owned by partners Mike Rego and Eric Green. Serving all of Northern New Jersey with Mold Testing, Mold Remediation, Bio & Hoarding Cleanup and Water mitigation.
Our business started in Florida with carpet and upholstery cleaning being the main service. Through customer requests, we slowly educated ourselves on water damage clean-up and mold prevention. With many hurricanes hitting Florida, we went more fully into the Water Damage and mold fields. When relocating to Pennsylvania for family to join the company, we were full time into Emergency Water Restoration and became certified in Mold Remediation. Due to many mold situations occurring from water entry or excess moisture problems in basements and crawlspaces, we researched the best Waterproofing franchises and dealerships available and chose to join Basement Technologies. So now we also do Patented Full and Partial Perimeter Waterproofing Systems as well as Full Crawlspace Encapsulation. We are proud to be able to offer our customers services that encompass everything to do with water damage and mold removal and prevention!
New Jersey state laws require any contractors or subcontractors who sell or make home improvements to be registered with compliance to "Contractors' Registration Act".
However, construction permits are issued, as before, by the municipalities in which contractors are working.
A Contractor must be sure to use a written contract if a project costs more than $500.
Any person who makes improvement project of a home he(she) or his(her) family member owns is not required to registered as contractor.
Before hiring a contractor, make sure that they have a valid license and that their skills are appropriate for the job you are planning.
