R-Value Concrete Structures got its start when the owner Jake Vierzen attended the World of Concrete and was exposed to ICF's for the first time. He saw some great potential for the concept, but found that many people who were familiar with them as builders or subcontractors had a distaste for them due to poor installations, usually by do it yourselfers. Having 10 years in as a commercial poured wall contractor already he was that clearly there was nothing inherently wrong with the concept, so in 2004 he formed an installation company to fill the gap in the market for prefessional installers. Many, many pours and projects have taught them that the manufacturers recommendations are often not adequate, and helped them develop a system to ensure good installations every time.
Saylor Builders was born by the great carpenter himself Wayne Saylor my grandfather. He opened business after the Vietnam war so we are a veteran family owned business. Our founder started Chachulski Builders with his father in 2008, specializing in (but not limited to) interior and exterior remodeling. In 2016, he decided to streamline his focus into solely exterior remodeling. That is when he started All Service & Remodel. We are a full service exterior remodeling company.
The Roof Dr. is one of a few Grand Rapids roofing contractors who carries a full residential builders license through the state as opposed to a trade specific license for only roofing. The education and training required to acquire a builder's license goes well beyond the scope of work we encounter on roofing projects. This is important because it gives us a broad base of knowledge to draw from when working to solve your roofing needs. In addition, shingle manufacturers offer a variety of continuing education courses for roofing contractors. These courses exist to teach and train installers the difference between acceptable and unacceptable roofing practices. Our installers are required to attend these courses, and reach the highest credentials available to them. Understanding how roof issues are created through improper installation gives us insight into how to correct these issues as well as prevent them.
