When I came to Richmond and looked the people with roofing skills only specialized on one installation process (like shingles and nothing else), I looked the opportunity to open a small Bussiness with more choices.
Thompson Creek began manufacturing energy efficient windows on West Street in Annapolis. At that time, we only sold our windows to contractors that then sold them to consumers. In 1997, our original building was demolished as part of the West St revitalization project, so we moved the company from West Street to a 20,000 sq ft facility on Thompson Creek Road. Our growth and new location also provided us a new business perspective. In 2001, we revamped our strategy to sell windows directly to customers, eliminating the middleman and allowing us to control the full window-buying experience for the customer. We quickly outgrew our facility on Thompson Creek Rd and in 2007 moved into an 80,000 sq ft facility in Landover. In 2016, we built a brand new 117,000 sq ft manufacturing and warehouse facility in Upper Marlboro, MD so we could expand our service area. In December 2017, we moved into our new headquarters in Lanham which houses our Executive Team, Marketing Team and Support.

Begun in 2005 with hardwood floor work. I was trained years earlier to refinish gym floors, so beginning work with hardwood was a natural transition. As the years went by we began to offer carpet, vinyl, laminate, & tile work. Over the past year we have taken on complete remodel projects to include new bathrooms, new kitchens, new roofs, new siding, new porch rails. We truely are All-N-1!
Contractors are required to be licensed in Virginia. There are two features of a contractor license. The first one is the class of license which determines the cost of projects that may be performed and the second is the classification/specialty of license, which determines what works are permitted.
To look up if a contractor's license has an active status or check a contractor's disciplinary history, a homeowner should use License Lookup tool.
Performing construction or demolition of structure, you are required by the State of Virginia a permit to be obtained. Building permits are issued by the local departments (cities and counties) in Virginia. Homeowners should verify with permit office to see if they need a building permit or where they should file their application.
